A copy from a series of flyers printed by the National League to Defend Religious Liberty promoting a boycott in 1929. The boycott comprised various actions such as not purchasing lottery tickets, attending playhouses or movie theaters. Its objectives were resuming public religious worship and assuring priests’ return to their temples. The campaign had a national scope. This flyer, among others, can be found in Alfonso De la Torre’s papers pertaining to his participation in Tampico’s Mexican Youth Catholic Organization chapter
Ejemplar de una serie de volantes que la Liga Nacional Defensora de la Libertad Religiosa imprimió para hacer proselitismo en favor de un boicot en 1926. Dicho boicot comprendía diversas acciones (i.e. no asistir a teatros y cines, no comprar billetes de lotería) y su finalidad consistía en lograr la reanudación de los cultos y el retorno de los sacerdotes a sus templos. La campaña tuvo un carácter nacional y este volante, junto con otros, se encuentra en los papeles de Alfonso De la Torre relativos a su participación en la Asociación Católica de la Juventud Mexicana (ACJM) de Tampico
