Description
Manifesto written by Felipe Codallos, Governor of the State of Puebla and directed at the citizens of Puebla. Governador Codallos informs the citizens of his state about the actions of Rear Admiral Charles Baudin during the Pastry Wars wherein France sought an enormous amount of money from Mexico and Rear Admiral Baudin was ordered by the King of France, Louis-Philippe (1773-1850), to blockade and bombard some of Mexico's major ports. The manifesto is dated December 1, 1838. Manifesto escrito por el gobernador del estado de Puebla, Felipe Codallos. El gobernador se dirige a los poblanos y les informa sobre las acciones del Contra Almirante Baudin durante la Guerra de los Pasteles. El rey de Francia, Louis-Philippe (1773-1850), ordenó el bloqueo y la bombarda de los mayores puertos de embarque de México. El manifesto lleva la fecha de 1 diciembre de 1838.
