Main Ave. The Stevens/Duffield House was originally purchased by Hiram Stevens in 1865. The residence was a grand house that included an aviary, grape arbor, carriage house, and hay barn. In 1874, Stevens purchased the neighboring one room house from Milton Duffield and combined the two residences into a single family home by connecting the two homes with a long narrow corridor. The house was owned by the Stevens family until 1919 when it was purchased by Knox Corbett. Corbett sold the house in 1936 to Hoagland Gates. In 1968 the City of Tucson acquired the house and others as part of the Urban Renewal Project. The Tucson Museum of Art began leasing the building in 1973. Currently, the residence is Café à la C'Art restaurant which is operated by the Tucson Museum of Art.
