Gregorio. The request is made on her behalf by her mother, Doña Felipa Zapata. It is dated 25 September, 1833. The remainder of this document appears to be a ledger of accounts concerning the transactions of two haciendas owned by Mrs. Manuela Velasco de Gonzales, her son Ignacio Gonzales, and their heir Ignacio's daughter, Mariana Gonzales. The Haciendas are San Cristoval in Cerrogordo and San Nicolas del Paredon in Zacatlán. Entries include the sale and tax on pulque, as well as employee wages, and the purchases of supplies and staples. Three separate hands appear to have made entries in this ledger.

<text>Printed broadside by the parish Priest José María del Refugio Guerra y Alva (ordained Bishop of Zacatecas on 29 December 1872) decrying the influx of prohibited books, brought into a the country from the United States. Chief among these banned books are the Protestant Bibles which the Catholic Church condemns as false. Guerra y Alva exhorts Catholics to maintain their faith in the one true church, the Holy Catholic faith, and to shun and abhor all books and teachings which discredit the church and would tempt people away from their God-given religion.
