<text>Four hand-written pages describing, in part, the copious number of Bibles introduced into the country by what the author terms as the Bible Societies of London. The author complains that the Bibles are sold as one single book (both Old and New Testaments) and as individual New Testaments. The author complains about the amount of money that is being spent by the Bible Societies to translate into all known languages, print, and disseminate all those Bibles. He opposes the lack of respect to the prohibition against individuals reading the Bible that's part of Roman Catholic dogma. The author of these pages is well informed and quotes several prominent members of the British and Foreign Bible Society and of the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge founded in England in 1698. His writing has an academic tone, fully referencing the sources of his quotes (he is especially fond of quoting Samuel Wix (1771-1861), prominent Church of England clergyman and author.
