Description

A photograph of huts of the Batlhaping tribe of the Bechuanas. The roofs are thatched with tamboogu grass, held in place by small branches of lycium and usually a braid of ox hide around the bottom. They are often much thicker and made of sorghum stems. The gates are usually composed of lycium branches, but the kraals are made of acacia.
