Indigenous people dancing. At Shimbu the Meru danced for movies. The most interesting feature of the dance is the high jump - with feet dragged behind or even a slight kick back. The long spear, the head dress and practical absence of clothing are remarkable. [Shantz travel journal, May 23, 1920]
