Shows the bridge as I went across it in a Ford. Off early alone in a Ford for Nairobi for supplies. Passed through the wonderful mountain country. ... At a short distance out a bridge out. Natives hastily made one - of logs across the stream and with a zingiberaceous plant and brush thrown over. Here they were eating the peppery pulp of a zingiber - which is most abundant here.
