Title
Josefina Padilla Born 1910 in Hermosillo Sonora, Life History and Eyewitness Accounts of Pachucos
Description
Josefina Padilla talks about her life and family history, in addition to telling some anecdotes about pachucos. She starts by telling the story of her birth because she was born in Hermosillo just months before the Mexican Revolution started, on the day the city was throwing a parade for Francisco Madero. She continues by discussing her family history, going back to her grandparents, who were also from Sonora and owned land. The interviewee shares where she went to school, how she met her husband, and how they made a living. She also recounts some experiences she and her close friends and family had with pachucos, such as a robbery and a mugging.
