Interview with Guadalupe Salcido Flores

Guadalupe Salcido, Editor in Chief and Information Chief for Periodico del Norte, talks about her beginnings in journalism, about the effects that the violence and consequent economic crisis has had on journalism and the community in general (including personally) and about how Juárez and journalist alike are coping with the tension. Discusses the way women journalist manage to perform their job in the region; she also remembers her mentor, the late Alfredo Quijano, and why she chooses not to belong to any of the local journalist organizations.

Guadalupe Salcido, Directora Editorial y Jefa de Información del Periódico del Norte, habla sobre sus comienzos en la profesión, los efectos que la violencia y consequente golpe económico en Juárez ha tenido en el periodismo y en la comunidad (incluyendo personalmente) y como hacen frente a las tensiones.
