We reached Meru at night and returned to near Embu - where one of cars was smashed (from wheel). It was repaired and drove back to Nairobi. 36 hours of continuous driving, arrived Nairobi at 7:00 P.M. May 4. [Shantz travel journal, May 3-4, 1920]
