Austrian Reflections
Austrian Reflections was the eleventh film produced by Ken Wolfgang and was released in 1979. The film is 80 minutes in length and was shot on 16mm Kodachrome film. Wolfgang presented the film on the travel lecture circuit primarily between 1979 and 1980. Within the film, Wolfgang examines the culture and rich traditions of the Austrian people in numerous ways, including documenting the grueling but rewarding work of rural farmers, climbing to the rooftops of Vienna with a soot covered chimney sweep, and traversing along the countryside via the famous autobahn. The film also explores Austria’s rich Christmas traditions by visiting the Salzburg Marionette Theater for a special Christmas performance of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and documents the creation of the famous Christmas carol, "Silent Night" in Arnsdorrf. The film concludes with an exploration of the life of Austria’s most famous musical export, Ludwig Von Beethoven.
