Reconnecting…

“Reconnecting…” by Monique Garcia is a re-evaluation of online spaces as a medium for art and connection. The zoom dance practices and check-ins have forced them to confront the challenging themes of the pandemic, namely loneliness, exhaustion, and overall disconnection. This piece was created months into the pandemic after having not physically seen nor interacted with one other for 4-5 months.
